Another Monday—and a truth that hasn’t changed overnight: God is for you. Before you look at your calendar, your to-do list or your worries, look at what God has said. New week, same faithful God.
“If God be for us, who can be against us?”
Romans 8:31 (KJV)
This Is a Fact, Not a Feeling
Paul isn’t making a cautious guess here. He’s drawing a conclusion from everything God has already done: He has called us, justified us and glorified us (see Romans 8:30). If God has done all that, then one thing is settled: He is on your side. Not against you. Not neutral. For you.
God has already given the proof. He did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all—how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things (see Romans 8:32)? The price has been paid. What Jesus purchased belongs to you. You don’t have to convince God to help you. He made His choice for you long ago.
Walk Into This Week From Victory
In the same chapter Paul lists everything that can stand against us—tribulation, distress, persecution—and then declares: “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” (Romans 8:37, KJV). Not barely. More than conquerors. That is your position in Christ.
So you don’t go into this week as a loser hoping to somehow get through. You go in as someone who has the Almighty on their side. The difficult conversation, the exam, the medical report, the unpaid bill—none of it is greater than the God who is for you. Faith doesn’t wait for circumstances to change before it believes this truth. Faith believes it now—and then circumstances change.
Faith in Action
- Say it out loud this morning: “God is for me. Who can be against me?”
- Name the biggest challenge of your week and declare: “God is greater than this.”
- When worries come, answer with the Word: “In all these things I am more than a conqueror through Christ.”
Don’t start your week asking what could go wrong. Start it with the certainty that God is for you.
